Often people recommend me to learn something from sports. My ex-CEO always discuss the learning we get from sports. Being a trader, we need to face stress and undiscovered challenges every second. Even you get out in the first ball for the first few days, you need to be consistent and believe in yourself for the day when you hit the century. Sitting on my bed and watching the first match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 made me go through the thoughts of a sports person. Every moment in a match can relate to my day to day activities of my work. Two months back, I fired one of my staff members because of his low performance. In every match, the mistake is done by many players. Some looses catch, some misses ball, some get out on zero and some underperform. MS Dhoni won’t be “The Dhoni” if his coach didn’t believe in him and give him another chance to perform. Dhoni underperformed in many matches at the initial career days and instead of firing him, he got another chance. You need to believe in your team to get success.

Another lesson which ran through my adrenaline that no team can predict the win until the last ball of the match. So no one can achieve result until the last moment of his hard work. So believe and work on your goal without thinking about the result. Players just give their best till last which leads them to win.

Third and last thought process rushed when I see the same player missed catch twice which might lead to RCB loss.Virat Kholi might shout out of anger on that player but instead, he encouraged him to play well. Anger will only lead to a team loss. Long term fruit and success can only be achieved if you control your anger and take a decision which will encourage you and your team to perform better in the next task. So loosing out aggression is easy but instead of improving team spirit, it will start creating hair-line misunderstanding between the team members. You already won half of the game if you have love and trust among team members.
