  • Have you ever thought about how your employees get treated inside your office?
  • Do you scold them too often for not getting things done at your expectations? Or your expectations is too high or wrong?
  • Do you shout or get irritated if things not get done on time or sales target not achieved?
  • Are your employees don’t want to work at your office? Does your attrition rate is high?
  • Does their mind get divert into other things? Are their output/results is less than their capabilities?
  • Have you ever analyses, how many of your employees left your company in a year?

Culture is an important element that directly impacts the growth of the company. A strong culture boosts morale and energy among your team members. It’s not possible that alone you can build a company, it is your team and employees who are crucial pillars & building blocks of your company. The following points are must read to develop a positive culture in your office.

  • Always look from the eyes of employees, what are their expectations, what they want. They always want to work in a calm environment, feel safe and secure about their job, feel valuable and respected, and always look for long term association with the company.
  • Once you get successful in finding a key to develop a great culture, you will notice an increase in productivity. You can rely on them and can take out time to focus on other work and can detach you from that particular work to focus on key issues.
  • In case you shout at them or create any tense environment in the office, they will think about where they got stuck. Never speak anything which will disrespect them or hurt their ego. If not, they will move out very easily if they find any other offers. Other employees will also feel unsecured if any negativity is created in the culture.
  • Assume that if someone constantly shouts at you or scolds you, you will develop a negative perception of that person. Your employees will feel the same if you treat them like this. You can lose the regards and respect they have for you & a negative image will always appear when they see you.
  • Always think of a solution if any mistake has been made or work has not been completed on time. Instead of scolding or torturing them for their mistakes, try to find the solution to get it done. Make them realize their mistake by guiding them so that they feel guilt from their internal soul.
  • They will learn from the action and reactions of their senior and boss. Slowly you will notice that they will treat their colleague in the same manner.
  • Never judge them too early. Give them time to show their performance and what they are capable of. There are always possibilities that performances and results can be inferior due to a lack of resources and training skills you have provided.
  • Do not fire them or argue with them. They can kill your company by leaking your internal information. In case you don’t want that particular person, maintain a proper relationship so that they realize their mistake and give them a chance. Maybe they are not fit for the role you granted them, change the profile, and assign other work and the result might be outstanding.
  • Boost them, appreciate them, reward & connect them emotionally so they feel for you and the sake of the company.
  • Make them feel reputed as they are working with a prestigious company and bright minds so they feel motivated and tell their family & friends about the company. And might recommend someone to join the company and work which itself is a great asset.
  • The relation between the company and employees is like a mother-daughter, husband- wife relationship. They are like family. They should relax once they enter and don’t carry any tension once they leave the office.
